Ben Crump is an American attorney who specializes in civil rights and catastrophic personal injury cases such as wrongful death lawsuits. His practice has focused on cases such as Trayvon Martin, Micheal Brown, and George Floyd, the people poisoned during the Flint Water Crisis, and the plaintiffs behind the 2019 Johnson & Johnson baby powder lawsuit. Listed amongst the Most Influential People of 2021 by TIME100, Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 Most Influential African Americans, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers, and the 2014 NNPA Newsmaker of the Year. Due to his legal reputation, he has been referred to as "Black America's attorney general."
